You can't get anything you want. This is the truth that I learnt from my life so far ,as a giver ,and as a taker .
All that makes you enjoy is the "anticipation" of something.
You can't help expecting too much. Even if you feel like you got what you wanted ,I'm sure you won't feel the same the next day. It's just an illusion.
Even when you are a giver ,it's the same. You expect someone's reaction and appreciation. In most of the cases ,they 'll give you a thank you and if you are lucky ,they'll act like they are happy. but you can't deny yourself looking for a "black spot" in the reaction. You look for a hidden gesture to show the receiver is not happy 100% and blame yourself.
You can never get what you want. This is the reality.
